Look North: Interview Concerning Gluten-free Prescriptions.
This week I was interviwed by Look North to discuss our personal experience of gluten-free prescription allowance for my 6 year old coeliac son.
We currently alternate between ordering bread one month and pasta the next and certainly don't use our full allowance. We are extremely gratefull for the provision of this service and hope it will continue indefinitely. This said, change is afoot across the country and appears to vary considerably.

Coeliac Awareness Week 2016 Featured in The Yorkshire Post and Yorkshire Evening Post.
Currently there are estimated to be 500,000 people in the UK that are undiagnosed with the lifelong autoimmune condition called coeliac disease. The symptoms and wide and varied for each individual, yet each have something in common, the complete intolerance to gluten which ultimately damages the small intestine and can cause life-long health problems if a strict gluten-free diet is not followed after diagnosis.
