What better way to celebrate National Cream Tea Day than with some indulgent gluten-free apple and cinnamon scones. Whether you prefer to put the cream on first, followed by the jam as in Devon or the jam on first followed by the cream as in Cornwall, they taste delicious either way!

Pear, Cranberry and Ginger Stewed Fruit Compote (GF)

Stewed fruit compote is great to have on hand as its versatility means you can serve it with yogurt or porridge for breakfast or over ice cream for an after-tea treat as featured in The Guardian last weekend. Apple and Pistachio Crumble Ice Cream (GF)

I love the flavour combination of apples and the nutty crunch from the pistachio nuts. We have enjoyed these as a treat by big kids and little one's too!
