As American author, John Gunther once said, “All happiness depends on a leisurely breakfast”, so I was excited to receive Delicious Alchemy’s latest edition to their colourful collection, the ‘Wonderfully Gluten Free Nutty Granola’ to see how it faired.

Now part of a dozen gluten-free products currently on the market, Delicious Alchemy have unveiled another superb product, this time adding to their increasing breakfast range.

As a graphic designer, I have always been a big fan of their fresh, contemporary packaging design which I feel reflects their forward thinking in developing gluten-free products that we as consumers want to see.

Just as trying new foods or dining at a favourite restaurant can conjure up a particular moment in your life, sampling Delicious Alchemy’s granola evoked fond memories of a very rare weekend away without the children where we ate granola with fresh fruit and yoghurt each day.

The first thing that appealed about Delicious Alchemy’s granola is that it is naturally flavoured with honey and grape juice rather than any refined sugar, making it an appealing breakfast option for all the family. It contained a generous helping of almonds, hazelnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and raisins making each mouthful unique to the next and this combined with clusters of honey-toasted gluten free oats was really tasty.
Delicious ALchemy Nutty GranolaThe product retails at £3.00 and whilst this is a bit more expensive than other gluten-containing granolas, (as is the norm with so many GF products unfortunately). As a family of five and only one coeliac, we would buy this product again for all of us, due to its really tasty flavour.

Delicious Alchemy’s Wonderfully Nutty Granola is available in selected Sainsbury’s stores, as well as from their online shop with free delivery until the end of July if you use this code: HIDA16.

I am curious to see what they will create next to make it a bakers dozen of fantastic gluten-free products. Watch this space I reckon!
