ITV Lorraine, Let Them Tweet Cake.

Over the past two weeks, Lorraine has been asking Britain to share their favourite homemade cake bakes. I was delighted to see both of my cakes shown on the “favourites” gallery.

The first one was a Teddy Bears Picnic cake, created for my daughters first birthday party. Everything was edible apart from the tiny cutlery. I thoroughly enjoyed experimenting with sugar craft though admit to not having the time or patience two more children later!

The second cake showcased was a Chocolate & Hazelnut Celebration Cake which was gluten-free and inspired by one of John Whaite’s recipes. Definitely one not to make with little children in the near vicinity due to the molten caramel hazelnuts.
