William is 6 years old and started school in September 2015. He was keen to be involved in every aspect of school life and expressed a particular interest in the Baking Club which runs once a week after school.

I too was keen for him to be involved but due to him having coeliac disease I was not sure if it would be possible or practical. However, with ongoing communication with the members of staff at Fulneck School, he is able to participate, allaying my initial concerns of cross-contamination between him making a gluten-free adaptation of the weekly recipe and working along side his gluten eating pals.

We wanted to share with you what he has been busy baking on Will’s School Bakes week by week and inspire new ideas to try at home or suggest at your child’s school.
